We need to decide as a society how to show our support or disdain for a host of bad behaviors.

Get drunk once? I suggest "learn" but no punishment.

Get drunk and cause damages? "deal with the law" and depending on the damages, perhaps you don't play ball for a while, or forever.

Sell drugs? Probably you are gone.
Smoke a joint? Don't think it matters much.

Beat up your friend? Girlfriend? - Bye, bye.

Steal, cheat seriously, etc. - Variable consequences.

We will see how each of the institutions handles the student athletes involved. We will learn about the schools as the involved students learn about life.

As I keep saying, please Mount students, watch and learn. Things can happen here, too.

  3. Has anyone seen the men's basketball roster yet? I am also surprised the yearly prospectus from the team has not been circulated. First game is ? 3 weeks away.

  4. Harry, I agree. I find it odd that there hasn't been a release of the roster, prospectus, press guide, etc. Typically, both the Frederick News Post and the Carroll County Times run features on the first day of practice as well and nothing was published this year. I try to follow the other programs in the conference and the Mount seems to be behind everyone in this regard. I'm not sure who's job it is to promote the program but for some reason, they don't seem to want to do much in this regard. I know that it is W's that count but it sure would be nice to have something to get excited about at this point... and by the way, who is Aaron Brown? I'm assuming that he is a walk on as I didn't think that they had any additional scholarships available.
