Mount falls at Navy

The Mount cut a 14 point second half deficit to 3 before falling 64-56 at Navy on Sunday night.
A pair of freshmen Kelvin Parker and Chad Holley led the rally.
Parker finished with 14, Holley with 11. The Mount opens NEC play versus St. Francis on Thursday at the ARCC. More thoughts from me tomorrow.

  1. We have a better chance of sweeping the 2 NEC games than winning any of the other remaining non conference games. The best chance would be down here at Savannah- but they play a unique style and have played many bigtime teams well. Loyola is a very good team and so are American and Albany.

  2. I don't look for Parker to be at the Mount long, once he realizes. Thompson is mostly good because of pure effort, otherwise he wouldn't be. Once other teams start guarding Parker hard he wont be as good. No one else can shoot well so there goes our chances at reaching 50 points in a game when that happens. especially when RMU punches Parker around. I hate RMU with the passion that I hate the Steelers, and they both play alike.

  3. Carroll County Times has a good summary of the game and Coach Burke's thoughts.
