Down at the Half on the Road

The Mount trails Maryland by 13 at the half. Josh Castellanos leads five Mountaineer scores with 8 as the Mount plays its first game after Lamar Trice was dismissed from the team earlier today.

The Mount trails 45-32 and has made 6-of-9 three pointers. Unfortunately, the Mount has not had an answer inside for the Terrapins who have scored point after point in the paint.

Terrell Stoglin has 13 points for the Terps while Ashton Pankey has come off the bench to add 9.

A 20-10 run over about an eight minute span midway through the first half gave the Terps some seperation after the Mount held things close early.

Kelvin Parker, the freshman from York PA, has 7 points on 3-of-3 shooting. He scored the first two points of the game for the Mount and the final three before halftime.

Raven Barber has come off the bench to tally 6 points and grab 3 rebounds including two on the offensive end.

That was the best game I have seen MSM play. Let's see, Owens and Wells injured, Trice gone, Brown gone, what does that leave? 7 or 8 players?

How about the 'give them the game' calls going against the Mount in the last 2 minutes?

Hooray for the team and especially for the coaching.

  2. Yes, Kelly I finally agree with you. It does appear that Burke started coaching the past 2 games because they were executing his brand of offense. Maybe seeing his players almost upset MD, will inspire him to continue coaching hard.
