Junior Robinson - latest to pledge to the Mount

The recruits keep coming for Mt. St. Mary's. Junior Robinson became the fourth member of the recruiting class of 2014 to commit to Mt. St. Mary's and Head Coach Jamion Christian and staff.

Robinson's a 5-8 point guard from North Carolina, who can really score the ball. Heading into his senior senior, Lamont 'Junior' Robinson has already tallied 1700 points at the high school level. Robinson was an AP all-state selection as a junior and he's joining three previous commits Cameron Jackson, Chris Manning, Chris Wray at the Mount in the fall of 2014.

Jackson, Manning and Wray all play on the front line and Robinson is the first guard to commit to the 2014 class. The Mount will lose guards Sam Prescott, Julian Norfleet and Rashad Whack to graduation after the 2013-14 season. Marshall transfer Chris Martin is waiting in the wings. The incoming freshman class also has  3 guards among it.

If Robinson's credentials sound a little familiar to Mount fans, it makes sense. The small guard from North Carolina market has been one the Mount has tapped into with great success recently. Jeremy Goode led the Mount to its last NCAA Tournament and Shivaughn Wiggins, Christian's first recruit at the Mount, won the NEC newcomer of the year last season.

Word of Robinson's commitment spread quickly on the TwitterSphere. East Tennessee State assistant coach  Thomas Carr called it a "steal". Justin Young of Hoopseen.com tweeted "That's a big time commit in a small package. Loved him in the spring."

Can't wait to see Robinson in the blue and white.
