Mount O'Links
Can the Mount win two in a row at American? - November 18 is the date
Word is out in Albany and the natives don't seem overly happy
Check out the comments. Glad to see that Siena visits the ARCC the following year.

What is even sillier is Desmond thinking the AD's are going to read it

Mount O'Links
Troy Nunes from training camp
Everyone likes to kick the Big East
Someone has gone completely mad
Words from the Florida Camp
Good riddance to the Robinson Era
Meet Derek Hines
College Football is upon us
Three more exit stage left
From the Eagles Camp
Is Cesc leaving?
Beckham must return
Do we really care what Bud has to say?

Random Thoughts
What is a Monday Night without a football game?
Did I really just see that the Blue Jays lost Alex Rios on a claim by the Chicago White Sox? That is a big contract to absorb, but one I'm pretty sure the Blue Jays are happy to get rid of.
The final game in the Mount schedule this year is booked. The Mount will play Siena in Albany. I'm trying to get word on whether or not its a multi-year deal or just a trip north this year.
Screw the curse of the Bambino. How bout the curse of the Fanblog? The Red Sox haven't won since I said they'd lose the AL wild card race last week. And now they've blown a four-run lead at home tonight.
Does the 4pm EST, 3pm local time start for the US/Mexico World Cup qualifier make any sense on Wednesday? Oh I know why it will happen. But it doesn't make any sense.
Count on Ryan Nassib to be the Syracuse quarterback this season. The Greg Paulus story is a nice one. But Nassib is just the better QB right now. And I expect him to be that for all of the season.

Mount O'Links
From Tragedy to Building Trails
Navy's schedule released.....Circle November 28
Oh and by the way, I keep hearing the Mount's final game is either the start of a home and home with San Diego or a trip back to Blacksburg to take on the Hokies.
Time on ESPN family airwaves part of deal
Season Ticket sales are increasing for the Orange
Real trading deadline still looms
Media Day: Syracuse still undefeated
RU taking notice?
Five things about the Colts
Unimpressed with Penn State's schedule
Searching for a ninth team
One of the greatest wins in Syracuse history
Roenick retires

Wild Card
I know the folks in Texas might not agree with me. And maybe the Rangers fans even believe they still have a chance to win the AL West. But I'm here to say that the AL Wild Card is coming out of the East. And as I was sitting here watching the Rays and Sox in Tampa tonight, I was just about ready to write that despite the fact that the Sox have a four-game lead (3 if the Rays hold on tonight) that I believe that the Rays will make up that ground over the last two months and make the playoffs.
I just don't think that the Red Sox have enough pitching to win it down the stretch. They added the key bat in Victor Martinez, and I think it is a hugh upgrade for Boston. But I'm not sure they can get it done with their starters.
And I just think the Rays (even though they didn't really add anything at the trade deadline) are ready to play very good baseball over the last 54 games. The key for Tampa is going to be doing better on the road. Thus far this season, they are six games under .500 away from the Trop. I think if they get back to 500 - meaning they win 17 of their next 28 away from Tampa, they make the playoffs.
If that happens, I just don't think the Red Sox will have enough to hold off the Rays.
It should be a great couple of months in the American League as at least one team capable of winning the whole thing isn't even going to make the postseason.

Another Commit
The Mount has received a verbal commitment from 6-4 wing Jeffrey James from Bowie High School. I don't have very much more information on this as of yet, but I wanted to get it out there to you. I will post any additional information I receive.
The Mount still has one more scholarship remaining for this class and is actively pursuing players to fill it.
