Brothers square off as MSM visits Iowa State

The Associated Press picked up on the Long Reunion in Ames. It is a great story that Elijah gets to play against his older brother.

Word from the Mount is that Elijah has had a great offseason. He looked solid Friday night at West Virginia (14 points, 5 rebounds) but was slowed by foul trouble and struggled against the WVU traps at time.

Should be fun tonight.

Raffensperger worked professionally as a CPA for many years, but the chronic inflammatory immune disease Sarcoidosis made it impossible to continue that in a manner he found acceptable. Since then, he has spent more time around the Mount St. Mary's basketball program and values Coach Dan Englestad, his staff, and the players' impact on him. The blog was much more active, but the advent of Twitter (follow @themountfanblog) has made writing a little less important. But he hopes that the balance swings back in favor of more traditional content soon.
