We had heard the Mount was in on some good players but hadn't really heard any names. Now some of the names are becoming apparent.
NBE's report from Phoenix.....
A pair of talented players displayed their many talents over the two days for Team Philly, with guard Chazz Patterson (2012) and forward Brandon Taylor (2012) both playing well. Taylor’s basketball influences (guys he studies) include Dirk Nowitzki and Antonio Pena, and with his ability to knock down three-pointers it’s easy to see why Taylor would watch the recent NBA champion.
Schools in attendance for Team Philly’s win over the DC Assault 17U team (who was without Nate Britt, who sat out with what appeared to be an ankle injury) includedGeorgetown*, South Florida*, Alabama*, Maryland*, Virginia*,Stanford*, Boston University*, Pittsburgh, DePaul, Villanova,North Carolina, Xavier, Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech,Wisconsin, Hofstra, Penn State, Siena, Rider, Temple, Fairfieldand St. Bonaventure.
- Chazz Patterson currently holds offers from Boston University, UMBC, Mount St. Mary’s and Rider.
Here is a 2009 report from recruitrecon.com
Chazz Patterson (2012, 6-1 SG)
Chazz is a lanky guard with a quick handle. He had a left handed finish in transition. He used several fine spin moves to free himself. Chazz picked up a steal and scored on the break. He had a nice drive and dish play and he putback his own miss too.
