Kearse signs in Romania

Former Mount guard Mychal Kearse has played all around the world since his graduation. But last year he was left without an overseas job. And it seemed like potentially his career was coming to an end.

But Kearse kept his dream alive. He continued playing in the UBA with the Dallas Stars. The UBA is basically a league designed to allow foreign scouts the opportunity to see talent play. Kearse excelled there and has landed a spot on the CSU Atlassib Sibiu roster for 2012. It looks like he'll join fellow American Bobby Howard (Montana State) on the roster.

Recent Mount graduates Kelly Beidler (IR/Iceland), Jeremy Goode (Penafiel/Portugal), Will Holland (Academica/Portugal) and Markus Mitchell (Isabella/Puerto Rico) have had success as professionals playing on foreign soil.

We expect that Shawn Atupem and potentially Jean Cajou could join them this year. At The Fan Blog we will attempt to track their progress. Many overseas players bounce from one place to another year in and year out, so we will try to update you on any signings as soon as we know about them.
