Hope Springs Eternal

Real quick...but I couldn't pass it up.

Sean Taylor will get to play in Saturday's NFL playoff game. Yeah, his trial for waving a gun in the face of a woman has been delayed. Yep so he can play.

The Redskins are happy about this....but the guy who is most happy with this news.

Marcus Vick. He figures he still has a chance of making the NFL.

Raffensperger has loved the Mount as long as he can remember, which basically means 1981 - and remembers the true #GloryDays of Memorial Gym. He remembers the players from those days to the athletes who play at Knott Arena today. And if it's a #MountMayhem day, it's going to be a good day.

He holds a Syracuse University degree in broadcast journalism. He has broadcast high school, college & minor league levels of all sports in his past and regularly covered high school football for his hometown paper. So the blog does make a little sense.

Raffensperger worked professionally as a CPA for many years, but the chronic inflammatory immune disease Sarcoidosis made it impossible to continue that in a manner he found acceptable. Since then, he has spent more time around the Mount St. Mary's basketball program and values Coach Dan Englestad, his staff, and the players' impact on him. The blog was much more active, but the advent of Twitter (follow @themountfanblog) has made writing a little less important. But he hopes that the balance swings back in favor of more traditional content soon.
