Mount Opener to Air on MASN

Next Friday night's season opener from Marquette will air courtesy of the Big East Network on MASN at 9pm. Outside of the local area the game will also air on SNY and TWC Sports 32.

Marquette is ranked in most preseason basketball polls and enters the season off a Sweet 16 journey last year.

The game will be the second trip to the Bradley Center for the Mountaineers, although the first time they play Marquette. The Mount battled Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament in Milwaukee.

The Mount off of an 11-21 season a year ago has a tall task at hand in the opener.

But we'll be excited to watch along from home.

  1. All I hope for is that this game is not the huge embarrassment that the game at Virginia Tech was last year. It is still gruesome to think about that one. Any of y'all the best site to go to so I can pay to watch it? Can I watch MASN site or would I have to view the game from the Marquette site? Also, any word on exhibition games this year?

  2. There are no open exhibition games this year.

The Mount will play the two allowed NCAA closed door scrimmages. In fact, one is in the books. However, the school is not allowed to release any information on the scrimmage.

Still trying to get word if there will be a Blue/White scrimmage or not? At this point, I'm sort of guessing not. But maybe sometime early next week.
