Big Day on the Bubble

Cornell can clinch with a win tonight or a Brown loss. Expect the Big Red to be celebrating a Big Dance appearance by midnight.

Otherwise we are looking for some seperation amongst the bubble teams. Lots of teams that seemed to have it earlier have choked it away. So let's see what happens in college basketball's final full Saturday of the season.

Pitt @ Syracuse - Orange can get some of that seperation with a good home win. But they need the win to keep the RPI at a spot where the SOS can help.

Kent @ Bowling Green - Kent is getting to the point where I think they are in, win or lose in the MAC tournament. But going perfect the rest of the regular season would make a slip up in the tourney more acceptable.

Nebraska @ Oklahoma State - Can the Huskers play their way back into the conversation?

Wake Forest @ Georgia Tech - Not sure the Deacs really have a chance. So they better win here.

Rhode Island @ Lasalle - We put this here only to note how bad the Rams have been.

Texas A&M @ Oklahoma - Sooners still in, but three-game losing streaks this late are frowned upon. They need to avoid that.

Mississippi State @ Florida - I think the Gators need this more. But neither of these teams has anything locked up.

Missouri @ Baylor - Bears look for 20th win. That would clinch it, don't you think?

Vanderbilt @ Arkansas - Hogs a lot like Oklahoma - seemed secure - lost two in a row. Chance to stop the bleeding but Vandy is tough.

USC @ Arizona State - Speaking of bleeding. Sun Devils have lost 8 of 11 and still getting love. They need this one.

UMASS @ Richmond - Misfortunes of others (including those in A-10) have made Minutemen pretty secure at moment. That's when teams seem to falter, let's see what happens.

Houston @ East Carolina - This isn't going to help Cougs low SOS, but they need to pile up the wins, and this is an opportunity.

Western Kentucky @ Florida Atlantic - I'm getting to the point where it might be worth taking two teams from the Belt.

TCU @ UNLV - Type of game the Rebels can't falter in.

Davidson @ Georgia Southern - I'm just about ready to paint the Wildcats a lock.

South Alabama @ Florida International - Speaking of mid-major locks.

Tulane @ UAB - Tulane is on a six-game losing streak, if they stop it here, UAB is done.

Illinois State @ Southern Illinois - For ever-important second in the Valley.

I think that's a comprehensive list. There are other games that could affect the bubble. But I think that shows the teams that are on it right now. Others may play their way on with wins or losses today.
