What a game what more can be said? If you weren't there you missed a nail bitter. We were down by 9 at the half came back to lead it by one and in the last 1.4 seconds lost it from a three by Battle. We had three in foul trouble and really had no one to go to. I was impressed with both the team and Coach Burke tonight.
Here is what I take from this game - again, it is obvious we have already seen a Division I team (MSM) competing with even the top conference opponents.
I have watched the games since 1956. The competetence, systems and positive flow are evident now and very productive.
We are playing with a skeleton crew, yet very much in every game. The number of easy baskets is astounding.
Where we are missing our chances, I see a little overanxiety (some of the missed chip shots), inexperience (all the first year players) and sometimes just plain old bad luck (long offensive rebounds).
One drill needs adding: finishing on 2 or 3 man fast breaks.
Support and credit to the team and coaching staff.
