Goode a Pre-Season Midmajor A-A Again

Mt. St. Mary's junior guard Jeremy Goode has picked up his second preseason Mid-Major All-American acknowledgment.

Goode is hoping to lead the team to a second straight NCAA tournament appearance averaged 14.5 points per game as a sophomore last season. He was recently named to the preseason NEC team, where the Mount is picked to win the conference by the League coaches. He is the only NEC player on the collegeinsider.com 25-man squad.

Collegeinsider did recognize American's Derrick Mercer on its team. The Mount plays at American on December 1st. That game is available on MASN.

Collegeinsider.com awards the Jim Phelan Coach of the Year award annually.

Raffensperger worked professionally as a CPA for many years, but the chronic inflammatory immune disease Sarcoidosis made it impossible to continue that in a manner he found acceptable. Since then, he has spent more time around the Mount St. Mary's basketball program and values Coach Dan Englestad, his staff, and the players' impact on him. The blog was much more active, but the advent of Twitter (follow @themountfanblog) has made writing a little less important. But he hopes that the balance swings back in favor of more traditional content soon.
