Oregon vs Ohio State - @ San Diego

The Ohio State Buckeyes continued to rely on the defense in the 3rd round of the College Football National Championship Tournament. For the second weekend in a row, Ohio State scored just one touchdown, but advanced once again with an 18-10 win over Oregon. Ohio State limited the Ducks to 8 first downs despite the 155 yards rushing from LaMichael James. James' broke off a 59-yard touchdown on the game's first possession to give the Ducks an early advantage. They held the lead until Aaron Pettrey hit his second of four field goals at the end of the third quarter. Pettrey was 4-of-6 in field goals attempts and also missed a PAT for the second straight week. Jordan Hall ran for 101 yards for the Buckeyes and Jermil Martin scored Ohio State's only touchdown.
