If We had a College Football Playoff - Sweet Sixteen Results- New Year's Day - Early Evening

Penn State vs TCU @ Dallas Texas - Site of the Cotton Bowl

The Horned Frogs continued their march through the College Football National Championship Tournament and the Big Ten Conference for that matter with a 39-10 win over Penn State at Cowboys Stadium. TCU trailed 7-0 early, after a Brandon Beachum burst, but seized control of the game in the second quarter. Andy Dalton hit Jeremy Kerley on a 22-yard touchdown pass to give the Frogs a 10-7 lead and they would never trail again. Ross Evans, who booted six field goals on the contest, made three in the second quarter alone as TCU wore down Penn State. Dalton completed 13-of-18 passes for 185 yards and also ran for a touchdown as well in the win. The TCU defense intercepted Penn State quarterback Darryl Clark twice, and also sacked the signalcaller twice. The Frogs once again got a strong combined rushing performance from Joseph Turner and Edward Wesley who combined to gain 150 yards. The Horned Frogs will face their third straight Big Ten opponent next weekend in Ohio State at the Rose Bowl.
