If We had a College Football Playoff - Sweet Sixteen Results - January 2 - Evening

Oregon State vs Florida - Tampa, Florida - Saturday January 2

Florida broke open a close game in the second half with a pair of third quarter scores and the Gators went on to a 35-10 win at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Florida will now face Virginia Tech in Miami next weekend in a quarterfinal matchup. Jeffery Demps scored on three of his 11 carries, including a 5-yard run that made it 28-10 at the end of the third. He finished the game with 241 yards and 3 touchdowns. Oregon State actually led 10-7 in the first half, but Florida took the lead for good on Chris Rainey's five-yard run midway through the second quarter. Jacquizz Rodgers ran for 137 yards and a touchdown for the Beavers. Tim Tebow ran for 76 yards and a touchdown for the Gators and also threw for 104 yards in the win.

Raffensperger worked professionally as a CPA for many years, but the chronic inflammatory immune disease Sarcoidosis made it impossible to continue that in a manner he found acceptable. Since then, he has spent more time around the Mount St. Mary's basketball program and values Coach Dan Englestad, his staff, and the players' impact on him. The blog was much more active, but the advent of Twitter (follow @themountfanblog) has made writing a little less important. But he hopes that the balance swings back in favor of more traditional content soon.
