Dunkfest at the Dome

Syracuse overwhelmed Maine 101-55. It wasn't that close. The Orange led 60-12 at halftime and cruised to its eight straight win.

A 32-0 run midway through the first half broke open an already not so close game. The Orange had six players in double figures and shot 68% from the field for the game. Brandon Triche was the leading scorer with 16, while Arinze Onuaku and Kris Joseph each had 14. Mookie Jones had 12, while Scoop Jardine and James Southerland each had 10 - as four players came off the bench to get to double digits. Jardine, who leads the Orange in assists with 6 per game, had 7 on this evening.

Andy Rautins had 8 points 9 assists and 2 steals, while Wes Johnson had 7 points 4 blocks 6 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Orange held the Black Bears to 4-of-31 shooting in the first half as the zone was once again very strong for Syracuse.

With tonight's performance the Orange now has eight players that average better than seven points a game as the continue to share the basketball.
