NCAAB - Game #23 - Georgetown vs Wofford - Charleston Classic

ESPN GameSite

Georgetown looks to move to the championship of the Charleston Classic. The Hoyas have been led by Big East Preseason Player of the Year Austin Freeman in its first three games. The senior guard is averaging 20 points per contest.

Wofford lost to Minnesota and Clemson out of the gates this year, before righting itself with a win over South Carolina Upstate yesterday.

The Hoyas are the marquee name in this event and look to advance to the final with a win. They are the clear cut favorite here and I think they end up getting it done by double figures.

3:19PM - Georgetown has a 13-point lead at the break, 37-24. Started the game with an 8-0 run and they've controlled things from there. The Hoya defense has been tough, Wofford a paltry 6-of-26 from the field. More offensive balance from the Hoyas then we've seen in the early parts of the season, but Freeman still leads with seven.

4:21PM - Wofford made a run at Georgetown with some hot shooting to start the second half, but it looks like the Hoyas are going to hold on. Brad Loesing knocked down some threes at the start of the half as Wofford drew within six at one point. But the Hoyas have extended it back out to 15 with under 2 minutes to play. It has been the backcourt play from the Hoyas....Chris Wright with 18 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds...that has once again been the difference.
