NCAAB - Game #18 - Vanderbilt vs Nebraska - Puerto Rico Tip Off

ESPN Game Site

The winner plays West Virginia is a Puerto Rico semifinal on Friday. The loser will play Davidson in the consolation bracket.

Nebraska enters at 2-0 while Vanderbilt is 1-0. The Commodores are the clear favorite, but I'd expect a pretty good game in this one.

The pace of the game seemed to slow considerably near the end of the first half. The Cornhuskers own a 28-26 lead behind a balanced scoring attack. Vanderbilt did close the margin considerably in the latter stages of the first half, and maybe the Commodores are ready to seek control. But they'll have to shoot better than 38% in the second half if they want to do that.

Vanderbilt pulled away late from a Nebraska team that couldn't make any field goals in the second half. The Huskers made just six second half field goals and the SEC entrant moved on to face West Virginia in the semifinal with a ten-point win.
