NCAAB - Game#12 - St. Peter's at Robert Morris

I've watched some bad offensive performances already this week. But there may not be one worse than what St. Peter's is doing at Robert Morris.

Seriously that may have set basketball back a few years. (or a few hundred). Credit some of it to Robert Morris and their defensive intensity. That didn't leave when Mike Rice left town (he lost his debut at Rutgers last night by the way). But some of it was just plain bad on the part of the Peacocks.

St. Peter's trails 23-13 at the break and made just three first half field goals. 3-of-17. But the real bad part is they got to the foul line 16 times. Trouble was they could only make six attempts. Maybe that has something to do with only having 13 points.

Most if not all of the Robert Morris offense has come from Karon Abraham or Yann Charles. Abraham last year's NEC rookie of the year has 12 points and Charles is showing he'll be a contender for that honor this year with 8 in his debut.

Again there is a feed here if you are interested in the second half.

Robert Morris never let St. Peter's back into it in the second half and the defensive dominance continued. The Colonials won the game 55-30 and off and running as they try to return to the NCAA tournament for the third straight season.
