Goode gets former NEC opponent as teammate

Former St. Francis NY forward Rob Hines has signed on with Penafiel for the rest of the season joining former NEC conference mate Jeremy Goode on the Penafiel squad.

He played 17 games for Angra Basket in the Portugeese  League two years ago and averaged 31 points a game. He did not play last season.

Penafiel has started the season 1-2 since jumping to the top division this season.

Goode leads Penafiel with 18.3 points per game. American Londrick Nolen is the only other scorer in double figures with 11.7 per game. Goode leads the league in steals with 4.3 per game.

Penafiel also found out it drew fellow LPB member Sampaense in the first round of the Portuguese Cup on December 1.
